"And I will strengthen them in Jehovah; and they shall walk up and down in His name, says Jehovah."
Zechariah 10:12 is another biblical verse in which we find the name Jehovah or Yaweh, JHVH or YHWH, being applied to more than one person. The wording of the verse, Zec 10:12, "in His name, says Jehovah", makes it clear that the speaker is not referring to Himself. This verse of Scripture was given to Zechariah by "the Word of Jehovah" ( Zec 1:1 ).
We know that the tetragrammaton YHWH or JHVH, from which Yaweh or Jehovah is rendered, is used in the Hebrew language only to refer to God. Any time it was written it only referred to the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob. We find that various writers of Old Testament, inspired by God, have applied this name to more than one Person. See Jer 23:5, Isa 61:1-3, & Isa 48:16-17 for examples. This gives support to the Doctrine of the Trinity of God and, coupled with other Bible verses, it clearly shows that there is more than one Person in the Godhead.
