An Invitation!

Are you Depressed, Dissatisfied, Adrift, Lonely, feeling unloved? Can't get any lasting satisfaction out of your life, no matter what you do? Is something missing from your life?

It is very possible that the Holy Spirit is enlightening (quickening) your inner spirit to make you realize that a key element is missing from your life. Something, which cannot be filled with drugs, sex, violence, money, or any other thing of this world. An element which you can't purchase at any price. An element, which is a gift that is freely given to you.
What is this key element?

Salvation through Jesus Christ!

"But as many as received Him (Jesus Christ),
to them He gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)

What is required to obtain this gift?
-- You must accept that you, due to the sin of Adam, have a sinful, corrupt nature and are incapable of pleasing God on your own.
"There is none righteous, no, not one."
(Romans 3:10)
-- You must believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross in your place, for your sins. That the shedding of His blood paid the price for your sins. And, that He was raised from the dead.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
(John 3:16)
-- You should express your belief in Jesus Christ by being baptized.
"Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved; whoever does not believe will be condemned."
(Mar 16:16)
-- You must validate your belief in, and love for Jesus Christ by following His Commandments.
"He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."
(John 14:21)
"Jesus answered,
'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like it:
'You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
(Mat 22:37-39)
-- You must confess that Jesus is your Lord & Savior.
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
(Romans 10:9)
-- You must ask God for forgiveness, through prayer. It need not be fancy. A simple,
"God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that Jesus, your Son, paid the price for my sins on the cross. Thank you for salvation through your Sovereign Grace. Almighty Father, please forgive me my sins. Amen."

That's it! Those are the requirements to become a child of God. Some things you should do to aid you in your walk with Jesus are:
Obtain and read a Bible
Pray Daily
Find a congregation of fellow believers to join.
There are some basic things you should look for in a congregation, there are a lot of pretenders claiming to be Christians. Look for one that believes the following:
--The Bible is the revealed word of God and is valid. And that it is the sole authority for man's relationship with God.
--That Jesus was both fully human and fully God.
--That salvation is a gift of God's Sovereign Grace. It can't be bought, paid for, kept, or held on to by "Works", or any other means.
--The Love of Jesus inspires them to be active in doing His work.

God's children have this promise from Jesus Christ,
"I will never leave you nor forsake you."
(Hebrews 13:5)
